Course- St. Andrews Links! Par 72 with a total of 7,313 yards. Purse is 14 million. Defending champ is Collin Morikawa at -15.
$12,000 to $10,000- Kicking off the top, the man himself...Rory! Rory is the best option on this slate despite of pricing. Rahm and Thomas do not have great course history here which is interesting. Scottie did not look great at the Scottish Open and may make his ownership lower. Spieth knows how to win on this course and all in on him. I am not high on Morikawa at all and rather go elsewhere.
$9,999 to $9,000- Xander and Fitz are two options here I am looking at. Fitz is playing amazing golf right now and can move his way up. Xander is the household name and love his upside. Cam Smith has looked well and even on his bad game; he can move up the leaderboard. Cantlay is not a bad option in this range. Dustin Johnson is super interesting coming into this tier.
$8,999 to $8,000- Fleetwood has great experience on the links courses which makes me love him. Louis Oost has high upside here on this type of course here. Burns has the driver accuracy to do well also. Bryson is way too cheap and playing healthy which he has done well. Niemann can handle this course with how he plays and don't mind it at all. I don't trust Brooks here at all to be honest.
$7,999 to $7,000- Macintyre has upside and in play to me as long with Cam Young. Rose has the short game to stand out and a cheap enough option. Reed can scramble here and in play. Jordan Smith has the play right now in which his recent form has been on fire. Woodland has the driver play to pay off the price tag. Scott is cheap enough and Homa has been playing well, both players you can certainly go to. Power has the game to thrive with his playing style by far.
$6,999 to below- Herbet can do well at these types of courses. Arnaus has history at these types of courses and not bad at all. Wise is in always in play to me. Clark can be up and down here.
