The NBA is upon us and I am beyond excited for this season. We have two games on our hands so let's dig into it.
New York Knicks at Boston Celtics (-3 ) with over/under set at 221
The Knicks team looks a little different coming into this season. Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo are not on the Minnesota Timberwolves. Minutes aren't going to spread out and we know the Knicks will load the starters with as many minutes as they can handle. Karl Anthony Towns is a new addition to the team. The price tag on DraftKings is pretty enticing valued under $8,000. He may be a centerpiece of my lineup. Jalen Brunson will still be the focal point of this offense. Mikal Bridges' shot looks broken, and I honestly don't know what to think of it. Josh Hart and OG Anunoby are the skilled position Swiss Army knife players on the team. The defensive stats will be there for them and are filler pieces of lineups on DraftKings. Miles McBride and Cam Payne are cheap but how many minutes will they truly get is the million-dollar question.

Onto the Celtics, the banner will be hung and the lights will be bright for the team. Jayson Tatum has a nice price tag and all the upside in the world is in his favor despite the matchup. Keep in mind there are other guys up top I like slightly more though. Jaylen Brown might be someone I don't get a ton of due to the other priced options on the slate around him. Kristaps Porzingis is going to be out some time which means we have Al Horford stepping into the starting lineup. Yes, he is older but the minutes will be valuable for his production. That leaves Luke Kornet and Xavier Tillman. Both are cheap dart throws. Derrick White and Jrue Holiday are viable options in the middle of the pack. Sam Hauser and Payton Prichard round everything out that I don't think I will be going to a ton.
Minnesota Timberwolves (-1) at Los Angeles Lakers with over/under set at 219
Anthony Edwards is a superstar in the making and the energy he brings is outstanding. One of my favorite options on the slate. Let him shine when the lights are bright for the first game of the year. Julius Randle is now on the team and I don't know how he will fit on the team. Rudy Gobert is the other big man on the team and how will his production fare with Randle? That's the problem with the first week because we have the unknowns. Mike Conley is only getting older and we need to make way for Donte DiVincenzo to bring energy. We saw him chirping already in the preseason. I love DiVincenzo on this slate his price tag. Jaden McDaniels is someone I am not getting to a ton and rather go elsewhere. Similar story for Naz Reid and Nickeil Alexander Walker.
Last but not least, we have the Lakers. Anthony Davis is one of the best plays on the slate and I am here for it. I am taking him over Lebron easily on this slate. The matchup isn't great for the team but we have plays to look at. D'Angelo Russell has a nice price tag overall for the mid-range. Austin Reaves we know can hit a three-ball any time of the game but I rather go elsewhere. The last guy I will talk about is Dalton Knect who could earn minutes and looked good in the preseason overall.
