NFL 8/8/204 DK DFS Breakdown

Welcome everyone! It is time to dig into the 8/8/2024 NFL DraftKings slate! We will go team by team so let's dig in!

Carolina Panthers

Starting at the QB position, Bryce Young is not expected to play at all. Andy Dalton has an injury. That leaves the undrafted rookie Jack Plummer who is scheduled to play the whole game. The Panthers signed Jake Luton not too long ago. I am all in on Plummer at the QB spot.

I am fading the RB position fully with the timeshare of possibly 4 running backs. If I had to pick one, maybe it would be the pass catcher in Mike Boone. Again, I am just going to fade this spot on the Panthers.

Compared to the RB position, the WR doesn't get much better. The main guy I am focusing on is the rookie Jalen Coker who is flashing in training camp. Smith Marsette is a veteran along with David Moore two guys who could see playing time.

The TE spot is my favorite to target on this slate on the Panthers. Jordan Matthews is an old veteran. Tommy Tremble is hurt along with Ian Thomas. I want all of Ja' Tavion Sanders who is a rookie that see a ton of playing time.

New England Patriots

In the QB position, I am fully fading the position due to them playing four QBs. On the RB spot, I am all in and Kevin Harris is a lock on the slate. He should see a good amount of workload. On the WR end, I am looking at two rookies Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker in a stacked WR room to stand out. If you want to throw a dart on JUJU then I understand the viewpoint on fighting for a roster spot. The TE spot is a full fade with a ton of guys on the roster.

Detroit Lions

It is Hendon Hooker time ladies and gentlemen. He will see a ton of snaps with Jared Goff sitting. The backup behind Hooker is going to be Nate Sudfeld. The RB position is interesting to the unknown. Craig Reynolds could see playing time but how much? More of a stay-away spot for me. The starters are not going to play on the Lions at the WR spot. St Brown, Williams, and Raymond aren't playing. No one stands out on this team and could see the football being spread out from Hooker. The TE position is nasty to me on this team.

New York Giants

The QB position is interesting to me on the Giants. The two QBs are Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito. We could see Lock shred a preseason defense. The RB spot is my favorite on the slate with two rookies named Dante Miller and Tyrone Tracy Junior. I love both of these guys on the slate to see the full amount of playing time. The WR position is gross with a bunch of special team players and veterans. The rookie in Theo Johnson is another target to look at on the TE position with injuries racking up on the team.
