Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals
The Panthers are 1.5-point favorites
The over/under is coming in at 36.5 points.
Panthers Breakdown
The starters might see a drive, but that is all. The Panthers come in as the favorites in this game. At quarterback, Haynes King is the rookie, and I expect him to get the most run. I am loving him in this game. Kenny Pickett is going to start and should see a couple drives. At running back, Chuba Hubbard will not see snaps, and I honestly don't expect AJ Dillon to either, even though he is 4th string. The reps for Trevor Etienne will possibly be limited. Anthony Tyus is next up, and I expect him to see snaps. Miles Davis is another option. Both rookies could be the goldmine in this game. At wide reciever, this is where it will be sketchy. Jalen Coker, Xavier Leggete, and Tetairoa McMillan will not see reps in this game. David Moore and John Metchie are veterans in the game. With the injury to Chris Brazzell, this is where snaps will open up. Jimmy Horn could see snaps and is a downfield threat. Ja'Seem Reed could see more snaps as a rookie from San Diego. Casey Washington and Brycen Tremayne have seen playing time last year and could see drives here. Casey Washington, specifically from the Atlanta Falcons. Gabriel Benyard could catch a bomb and is a rookie from Kennesaw State. At the tight end position, we have an injury on the table in Mitchell Evans. The tight end number one option was between Tommy Tremble and JaTavion Sanders. Tremble will not see snaps in this game, in my opinion. That leaves the converted position option in Feleipe Franks to see the most run and possibly Cadeon Prieskorn. Defense is certainly in play and will be the highest-owned option on DraftKings.
UPDATE- Ainias Smith is more than likely out due to injury. Jonathan Brooks is out!
Cardinals Breakdown
The starters are sitting. The Cardinals are coming in as the underdogs in this game. At the quarterback spot, this will be the showcase for Carson Beck. Gardner Minshew could see a little bit of run. The questionable spot is going to be at the running back position; James Conner and Tyler Allgeier shouldn't be seeing snaps. Trey Benson is injured, and I don't expect him to see run. The biggest question mark is Jeeremiyah Love. I don't know how much run to expect him regarding drives. Evan Hull was just signed to the team and could be the go-to guy. Corey Kinner is someone to look at, and what about Bam Knight? The split will be interesting. At the wide receiver position, Marvin Harrison, Michael Wilson, and Kendrick Bourne shouldn't be suiting up. Xavier Weaver, I could expect to see a drive or two. Devin Duvernay is a veteran and might see one drive. Reggie Virgil, Harrison Wallace, and Bryson Green are options to see a ton of run in this game. Jalen Brooks has seen snaps in the NFL but could play as well. At the tight end position, Trey McBride will be sitting on the sideline here. We have a preseason darling in Teagan Quitoriano and my main option if you want to go that route. Defense is certainly in play and will be the highest-owned option on DraftKings.
