NFL Showdown 9/9/26 Patriots at Seahawks DraftKings Breakdown
Game one of the NFL season is here! The DraftKings breakdown is up and rolling as we break down each team!
New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are 3.5-point favorites
Over/under is set at 44.5 points
Patriots
On the Patriots, Drake Maye is slightly priced higher than Sam Darnold. The running back room interests me. Rhamondre Stevenson is priced over TreVeyon Henderson. The key now to this slate is Rhamondre Stevenson. TreVeyon Henderson is expected not to play due to injury. Stevenson is a great option, especially at captain. The addition of Corey Kinner will be interesting if no TreVeyon Henderson. In the wide receiver room, AJ Brown is the new alpha in the room. He is a tough click for me on DraftKings. Keyshon Boutte's departure was interesting to me. Kyle Williams has looked fantastic in preseason. The DraftKings price tag is cheap, and we know he could break the slate with a long touchdown. The addition of Romeo Doubs is a wild card to me. Mack Hollins and DeMario Douglas will be fighting for playing time. I don't expect Efton Chism to see playing time. At the tight end position, Hunter Henry is a cheap price tag on the slate.
Seahawks
On the Seahawks, Sam Darnold is high-priced to me, but he is, of course, in play. The running back position is a fun one to break down. Zach Charbonnet was moved to the PUP and is out for this game. The rookie Jadarian Price will be leading this running back room. I do like him as a GPP option on the slate, and he is an interesting pivot at captain on DraftKings. He should receive the bulk of the carries. I don't mind George Holani, who will earn the third-down role. Onto the wide receivers: the one and only Jaxon Smith-Njigba. I love him in the captain slot and, of course, in the flex. Rashid Shaheed is a boom-or-bust option. We saw this last season with him, where all it takes is one punt return or a long-ball touchdown. Cooper Kupp is overpriced for what his role is, but we know he can catch a few passes. TORY HORTON WITH JAKE BOBO TORN ACL. At tight end, AJ Barner is underpriced for what he can do. I love him as an endzone threat. Elijah Arroyo is interesting, and I don't know what to expect from him. The price makes it slightly difficult, though, to play him.
