Welcome to the last Major of the Year! My name is Ricky aka @FantasyTalkShow breaking down my favorite bets! This is going to be an amazing event as we’re playing the 150th Open Championship at the iconic St. Andrews! We’re here to make some money on the betting market so let’s dive in on which bets I believe are the best to place this week and we’ll go by category!

Outrights:

Justin Thomas 16/1: The missed cut at the Scottish doesn’t scare me at all here. JT has gotten more time to play links style courses and get used to the style of play which leads me to believe he’ll be more than ready when he tees off. A golfer with plenty of win equity and a great relationship with players like Tiger can really help him understand how to play at St. Andrews.

Matt Fitzpatrick 18/1: Fitzy has been playing great golf and has plenty of experience at links style courses. This combination gives him a great chance to compete and win at St. Andrews.

Cam Smith 28/1: This number is just too good to pass up for a golfer of Cam Smith’s caliber. His ability with his wedges puts him in the driver's seat to put up a great week at St. Andrews. One of my favorite outcasts here and could definitely see it come through.

Bryson Dechambeau 130/1: Talk about odds that are too good to pass up. A guy that used to be around 25/1 to win on the PGA Tour before his injury, this number is ridiculous. One of the most important stats this week is driving distance and as we all know, that’s Bryson’s strong suit. Though the wedges aren’t necessarily elite, the driver will be more than enough to give him great opportunities.
