PGA FedEx Cup Betting Breakdown!

We talking about playoffs? Yes we are, as we enter the 1st week of the FedEx Cup Playoffs at TPC Southwind. This field consists of the Top 125 golfers in the standings and is our last cut event of the year. It will be important to stay in the fairway and put the ball close this week so let’s dive into my favorite bets this week!

Outright

Jon Rahm 20/1: Rahm hasn’t had the best season to his recent standards this year, playing pretty mediocre golf throughout, but Rahm at 20/1 is just too good to pass up. It’s the playoffs and I believe Rahm will kick it in gear this week to start a run at the FedEx cup. A great driver of the golf ball, combined with his great ball striking makes him a great fit for this course if he can be accurate enough off the tee.

Collin Morikawa 30/1: I jumped on Morikawa right away as I got him at 33/1 but he’s now dropped to 30/1, so obviously many people like him this week. The number is too long for a course that fits Morikawa’s playing style like TPC Southwind and I really think he’s the perfect bet for this week with plenty of win equity at a very generous number.

Viktor Hovland: 40/1: We finally saw Viktor put together a great performance at the Open Championship. He’s a great driver of the golf ball and can dial it in with his irons. Another guy who I think the odds are a bit too long on a guy with win equity on the PGA Tour, Hovland was a pretty quick click for me this week.

Cam Davis: 130/1: I had to throw at least 1 longshot in this week and who better than one of the most volatile players on Tour in Cam Davis. Davis is in the midst of playing great golf and if he can be somewhat accurate off the tee this week, no guarantees there, he will certainly be in contention over the weekend. This course isn’t his greatest fit as he’s known to be a bit of a sprayer on his drives, but this number is too nice to pass up on a guy with the win equity of Cam Davis.
