Course- TPC Deere Run in Illinois! Purse is 7.1 million dollars. 7,257 yards. Par is 71 and defending champ is Lucas Glover. The field of players are all over the place and wide open with only one top 50 player in Webb Simpson.
$11,000 to $10,000- Simpson is kicking off this range and the upside on the course is there for him. Day is the lone wolf in this range that I am fading in all formats. Hadwin is the second highest price and I honestly do like him some. Theegala is okay to me but rather go elsewhere.
Favorites- Hadwin and Simpson
$9,999 to $9,000- Bezuidenhout has the putter and wedge game to do well here. Howell has the birdie maker with his game and course history. McCarthy is so hard to trust. McNealy at his price tag worries me with how he has been playing recently.
Favorites- Howell
$8,999 to $8,000- Stallings kicks off this range and the recent form shows either boom or bust, but the course history looks good for him. Rodgers is good at this course and can show out. Hardy has been in good form and not a bad option at all. Glover is the former winner and just okay to me with how he is playing now. Griffin is fitting the build very well and has the tools to do well. Todd other than last week has looked good which is a sneaky option. Davis can do okay but is typically all over the place. Poston is someone to look at possibly.
Favorites- Stallings, Hardy, Griffin, Rodgers
$7,999 to $7,000- Schenk loves this course for sure and can show off here, I love his upside by far. Svensson is looking great and recent form is good making cuts off the wall, the iron play is all in. Huh with the ball striking is starting to improve by far and like his upside. Ghim has been all over the place recently and can do okay here in this price range. Stricker is interesting and last week was great for him. Ryder is good with the putter and can drive the ball well here.
Favorites- Schenk and Svensson
$6,999 to below- Hodges has the game to do okay here and the wedge game is in his favor on this course. Buckley looked well recently and can hang in the contention here.
