UFC 260 Breakdown

Miocic vs Ngannou- The Main Event! 2nd fight here we go! Ngannou has the power while Stipe is the cardio machine. This is an hell of an matchup. The cardio for the takedown is there for Stipe. The takedown offense is there for Stipe. If Ngannou can’t get the knockout then this is Stipe fight.

Luque vs Woodley- The Co-Main! It is so hard to trust Woolley but here goes nothing! Woodley is an former champion and super durable in fights. Luque should be able to get him to the ground or cage then hit him 110 percent. Woodley doesn’t throw a ton of volume at all. Woodley doesn’t have as good wrestling at all. Woodley possibly might be in the UFC not much longer here. Luque should win this fight but this is an step up here. Give me Luque to go balls to the wall in striking for the win.

O’Malley vs Almeida- Not an bad fight at all. Almeida needs to get his leg kicks out against O Malley. What scares me is the legs of O’Malley in which his legs can give out. Malley though should go out and win this fight, Almeida doesn’t use the leg kicks at all in his style. Almeida just wants to stay patient and low volume.

Maverick vs Robertson- Here we go again and hoping this stays out! Robertson has the slight size advantage. Robertson is an wrestler and where her game is at in which can take down Maverick where she doesn’t have it. Maverick has been training though and think that helps her. Maverick has the striking and cardio where that aggression will get the best of Robertson.

Worthy vs Mullarkey- Not an bad fight but here we go! Volkov has been training Mullarkey which I am surprised this fight is still happening. Worthy has huge power in his hands and an live dog easily. Worthy though has no durability at all inside the distance. Mullarkey has the possibility of hitting Worthy but isn’t an powerful fighter. He has the takedown offense though. Worthy can out swing him here and that’s his advantage. Mullarkey can win based on the wrestling. It’s an close fight either way.

Nurmagomedov vs Gooden- An meh fight to me. Nurm doesn’t have the grappling here which scares me. Gooden though can get the submission here and I like that for him here. Gooden has good striking and the reach advantage to me. I am liking Gooden here and an underdog I like. Nurm has had easy matchups which I don’t like seeing at all. Nurm lets his hands go and I don’t like seeing that at all. Gooden has the durability, power and heart that I think he can win here.

Oleksiejczuk vs Bukauskas- Here we go! O has an awful gas tank and that scares me. Buk just hasn’t looked good in the UFC at all. O has power and his goal is to knockout the guy or he gasses out completely. The finishing rate is there for Buk. I am loving Buk here as underdog.

Barriault vs Azaitar- This is an good fight overall. Barriault is coming to the UFC and the run has been not the greatest. Azaitar hasn’t fought in 2 years and he has great power also getting in your face. Azaitar has fought lower level fighters overall. Azaitar is sloppy fighter but has good body shots. Barriault is the more active and that is the key. Azaitar I think has made the improvements to win this fight.

Morales vs Young- So Young has been with Volkov also so stay tuned in case this is canceled. Young has to fight better guys and resume is not there. Morales has no volume and very scared in the ring overall. Morales has poor ring IQ and that scares me a ton. Young will let his hands go and go out there swinging. Morales is an wrestler but doesn’t go for takedowns a ton. Young will have to push the pace of this fight and like that for him. Young is an volume guy here. Give me Young here that I like.

Menifield vs Cherant- Late fight in the making. Cherant does not have the best chin and that is an huge step up that I don’t think he is ready for. Menifield is gonna knock him out first round. Menifield is the more talented fighter here and the notice is all in favor for Menifield.
