UFC 284 Islam Makhachev VS Alexander Volkanovski Breakdown

Zubaira Tukhugov VS Elves Brenner

The first fight of the night! Brenner is stepping in on short notice in this fight. Brenner is all over the place and coming off of a couple losses. Zubaira is aggresive and has great grappling despsite not fighting a ton. Zubaira should be able to handle Brenner on the feet and ground with ease.

Blake Bilder VS Shane Young

Bilder is making his UFC debut and this will be a great fight. Young is needing a win and coming off a couple of losses. Young has not fought in a little over two years. Bilder looked really good on DWCS and is going to push the pace. Bilder is a grappler and can work the mat in many ways. I don't trust Young at all coming into this fight and I am loving Bilder here to get his UFC debut win.

Loma Lookboonmee VS Elise Reed

Interesting female fight! This fight is going to be won the feet in the striking department. Loma is the better striker to me in this fight and is ready for this fight. I don't think Reed can handle the quick hands of Loma.

Jack Jenkins VS Don Shainis

Jenkins is making his UFC debut here and this fight will be exciting. Shainis didn't look great in his UFC debut losing in a submission fashion. Jenkins will push the pace and bring the fight to Shainis. Jenkins is the better striker and can shoot for takedowns. I am liking Jenkins that is ready to perform.

Jamie Mullarkey VS Francisco Prado

This is going to be a interesting fight. Prado is a young fighter making his UFC debut from Argentia. Mullarkey has been up and down so far in the UFC. Mullarkey has a good chin and a great striker with the boxing. I think this a tougher fight though for Mullarkey. Prado can come out swinging and I think he can. It is going to be a scrap and I can't wait.

Kleydson Rodrigues VS Shannon Ross

Both of these fighters are coming off of DWCS. Rodrigues is coming off a win while Ross is coming off a loss. The chin on Ross is what I am questioning a ton. Rodrigues is quick on the feet and looked good overall in his fight. This is going to be a interesting fight for Ross. I am liking Rodrigues by a hair in this fight.

Joshua Culibao VS Melsik Baghdasaryan

This is a close fight on paper and will be a great one. This fight is going to be finished on the feet. Culibao I think can bring the upper hand on the striking aspect but Melsik can land the power punch. I am leaning back and forth on this fight, it will come down to the biggest punch!

Tyson Pedro VS Modestas Bukauskas

Light heavweight matchup! Bukauskas is back in the UFC after a two fight hiatus in the Cage Warriors scene. Pedro has looked great in the UFC after his layoff and once he made his return, he is on a two fight winning streak. I am liking Pedro based on his techinal skill and can bring the fight.

Jimmy Crute VS Alonzo Menifield

Main card time! Crute is needing a win coming off of two losses in a row. Menifield is coming off of two wins and gaining momentum. Crute fought highly touted fighters in his two losses. Menifield can bring the fight though and has massive power. Meniefield has great striking and can pop Crute.

Justin Tafa VS Parker Porter

Heavyweight time! Porter is coming off a tough loss and has looked good before that fight. Tafa has decent kickboxing and has knockout power. Tafa can win this fight but it will be close based on Porter bringing the fight to Tafa.

Randy Brown VS Jack Della Maddalena

Jack is going on three wins in the UFC and his striking is amazing. The boxing is on point for Jack and has knockout power in every single fight he is in. Brown has a lot of hype behind him in his decisions wins. Brown is needing a win to make a name for himself. I am liking the hype more on Jack though who can counter everything Brown brings to the cage.

Yair Rodriguez VS Josh Emmett

The feather weight championship fight and co main! Emmett is on a winning streak and has massive power to clip any fighter. This a tough test for Emmett though fighting Yair. Emmett is a decent wrestler on the ground. Yair has looked good and the striking is great, but despite this being a tough test, I think this fight is closer than the odds appear. I am taking Emmett by a hair.

Islam Makhachev VS Alexander Volkanovski

The main event is here and it is going to be a absolute banger! Lightweight heavy weight championship time and I am ready! On the feet, Islam has hands for days even though Volkanovski being able to hang with the best. Islam I think can get the better of Volkanvski. It is hard to not love Islam with what all he has done in the cage.
