Jessica Penne vs Emily Ducote- First fight of the night! Both fighters are coming on win streaks. Ducote is coming from different fighting divisions rather than UFC. Ducote has the power especially with leg kicks that she brings to the table. Penne has great experience and has a couple of great wins recently. Penne is very smart in the cage and has great wrestling on the mat. This is a battle of grappling verses striking. I am taking the grappling of Penne to win this with how confident she has been being back in the UFC. If Penne can earn the submission then the $8,000 price tag is granted but for now I am staying away.
Pick- Penne
Dwight Grant vs Dustin Stoltzfus- Both fighters are coming from DWCS but on multiple losses in recent fights. Stoltzfus has decent losses though. Stoltzfus is good on the ground and given who he has fought, I am not worried about his takedown defense, Grant with his defense does worry me a ton though where he is prone to get knocked out. This is going to be a battle of who has the worse defense. I do like Grant though on the feet where he should be able to get the job done. If Grant can pull off the knockout win then the $8,900 price tag can do wonders but be careful if this goes to the judges.
Pick- Grant
Dustin Jacoby vs Da Un Jung- This is going to be a decent fight. Jacoby has rejuvenated his name coming back into the UFC. Jacoby has the striking power and has a unorthodox style. The cardio of Jacoby is questionable. Jung has volume and his boxing style is something to watch for along with the takedown offense. This is going to be a interesting fight where I think Jung can capitalize of the lack of a gas tank of Jacoby to gas him out. I really think Jung can put up great numbers at his price tag under $8,000.
Pick- Jung
Bill Algeo vs Herbert Burns- What a fight. This is going to be a nice grappling fight. Burns is coming off a loss while Algeo is coming off a nice win. Algeo has nice striking edge while Burns I think is better on the ground grappling. If this fight stays on the feet, Algeo can keep this fight on the feet and prevent the takedowns from Burns. I am leaning towards Algeo to keep this fight in his favor. This is going to be a huge step up in competition for Burns. Algeo should get this win in a decision. The price tag of $8,700 is a nice midrange option for sure.
Pick- Algeo
Ricky Simon vs Jack Shore- Underrated fight. Both fighters are grappling machines and on win streaks. Shore is a prospect that is highly talented and smart in the cage. Shore is going to shoot for the takedowns. Simon is no pushover though and will attempt for takedowns nonstop. Both fighters being great on the wrestling aspect makes them interesting for DraftKings price tags. Simon is very well rounded and a super close fight. I like Shore to keep this fight in his favor, DraftKings wise the $8,400 can be amazing for Shore. Takedowns for the win!
Pick- Shore
Punahele Soriano vs Dalcha Lungiambula- Both fighters are coming off two losses. Soriano is coming in at a high price tag on DraftKings. Dalcha worries me a ton with his gas tank and prone to get submitted quick. Soriano at $9,200 on DraftKings is expensive but more than likely to get a knockout. Soriano has massive power and will look for a finish in which I believe he can capitalize on.
Pick- Soriano
Lauren Murphy vs Miesha Tate- Female fight! Tate is a household name in the UFC game and at a $8,800 DraftKings price tag. Both fighters are coming off losses. Murphy is a veteran in the game while Tate is making her comeback. Tate has a great overall game. Murphy is going to have trouble in this fight especially paying off her DraftKings price tag. I do like Tate to win this on the feet and control this fight, but DraftKings wise this is more than likely to be a decision that I stay away from.
Pick- Tate
Shane Burgos vs Charles Jourdain- Great fight and one of the best on this fight card. Burgos is priced at $9,000 while Jourdain is at $7,200 on DraftKings. Jourdain is a striking machine and has good grappling that is underrated. Jourdain is not a pushover and Burgos has a test in front of him. Burgos worries me with his chin and striking defense. This is going to be a battle. Jourdain can be a value play by far if he can get a knockout victory. Burgos can control this fight though on the opposite end. I am leaning Jourdain to win this and pull off the upset.
Pick- Jourdain
Matt Schnell vs Su Mudaerji- Not a bad fight overall. Mudaerji is coming in at $9,100 DraftKings price tag and on a 3 fight win streak while Scnell lost 2 fights in a row. Mudaerji is a nice prospect in the Fly weight division. Schnell has decent boxing and grappling, but the defense worries me. Mudaerji worries me though with the high price tag where Schnell can bring the fight to him. Mudaerji should win this fight and capitalize can show the breakdown of defense of Schnell.
Pick- Mudaerji
Li Jingliang vs Muslim Salikhov- The Leech! Jingliang is $7,600 while Salikhov is $8,600 on DraftKings. Salikhov has the knockout power and has nice volume. The Leech was thrown around last fight but it was against Chimaev which we know how amazing he is. The Leech has decent striking and good knockout wins on his record. This is going to be a knockout affair. Salikhov can crack anyone in the cage especially with how the Leech confidence might be low after last fight. DraftKings wise this has all the means to have the optimal fighter in the lineup. I do like Salikhov to have the edge in power and get the job done making him a great DraftKings play.
Pick- Salikhov
Michelle Waterson vs Amanda Lemos- The CO- Main Event! Lemos is coming in at $9,400 price tag while Waterson is at $6,800 price tag on DraftKings. Lemos and Waterson are both coming off losses. Waterson has nice tools and good on the feet. Lemos has the power upside in this matchup. The leg kicks from Lemos worries me for the Waterson defense. Lemos can make her price tag worth it with her power and knockout win potential.
Pick-,Lemos
Brian Ortega vs Yair Rodriguez- The Main Event! Ortega is coming in the midrange price tag of $8,500 while Yair is at $7,700 tag on DraftKings. Ortega has the amazing grappling game and can earn a submission win. Ortega is nice on the feet while Yair has the knockout potential. This fight is optimal on DraftKings for sure with Yair possibly getting a knockout win at any moment in time but I am leaning towards Ortega to earn a finish in anyway he can. I love this fight of course for DraftKings which I think you’ll need the winner. I am leaning towards Ortega who has improved his game in a major way compared to Yair.
Pick- Ortega
