Main Card
Calvin Kattar vs. Josh Emmett- The Main Event! Boston strong! Both of these fighters are huge strikers. Emmett is not a bad wrestler, but the striking has been there. Emmett is not an active fighter, and it has been over a year since he last fought. Kattar is a great boxer, and the striking is amazing. Calvin bounced back in a huge way in his career showing how well he is in the cage. I am loving Kattar who can handle business.
Pick- Kattar
Donald Cerrone vs. Joe Lauzon- The Co-Main Event! Two legends coming into the cage goodness! Both fighters are coming in as vets as they get later in their age. Donald has a stomach bug when this fight was supposed to happen. Donald is coming up in age and it is showing based on how he looked. Joe looked amazing last fight and the boxing showed up. The wrestling of course is there for Joe. Just based on recent form, I do like Joe.
Pick- Joe
Kevin Holland vs. Tim Means- Nice fight for sure. Holland is the heavy favorite in this fight. Holland dropped down in weight, but Means is no pushover. Means is doing a ton in the wrestling game and the takedown defense worries me for Holland. Means will shoot for the takedown nonstop and I don't know if Holland can stand it. Holland is a good fighter and has the power in his hands for sure. This is a closer fight than the odds should be. Don't be surprised if Means win this by sub, but I like Holland by a hair.
Pick- Means by sub but Holland
Joaquin Buckley vs. Albert Duraev- Both fighters are coming off a win. Duraev is a fast-paced fighter who will push the pace. Duraev is a wrestler but last fight he did not try like usual. The striking was not the greatest either for Duraev last fight compared to how he looked on DWCS. The last fight for Duraev was worriesome. Buckley can show the striking upside and sneak a win here. I do like Buckley to exploit the striking defense of Duraev.
Pick- Buckley
Damir Ismagulov vs. Guram Kutateladze- Good fight! Guram is coming off a huge win against Gamrot. The kicks my goodness is there for Guram. The grappling is on the come up for him. Damir has looked good on the other side who is great on the mat. The striking is working for Damir who can be super accurate. I honestly am slightly liking Guram who might sneak out a win that is better than the betting market is showing.
Pick- Guram
Julian Marquez vs. Gregory Rodrigues- Not a bad fight. Rodrigues last fight was super close. Marquez is a slow fighter and that worries me who we don't know what to expect sometimes. Rodrigues should win this point from a talent level and pushing the pace. Marquez can hang in this fight for sure, but we just never know. Rodrigues is who I like but don't count out Marquez.
Pick- Rodrigues
Preliminary Card
Adrian Yanez vs. Tony Kelley- Good underrated fight. Yanez is a boxer and that is what he grew up on. Kelley has powerful hands, and the defense worries me. The striking defense for Kelley worries me. Yanez will be able to look for that and think Yanez can knock him out.
Pick- Yanez
Jasmine Jasudavicius vs. Natália Silva- Female fight! Silva is coming into the UFC as the newcomer. Silva did not look bad in her latest loss and is coming off a 6-fight win streak. The striking does not look good though and that worries me. Jasmine is well rounded in the cage. Jasmine has pop in the hands and the better grappler by far. Jasmine should handle business.
Pick- Jasmine
Court McGee vs. Jeremiah Wells- Close fight by far. Wells is good on the feet and has knockout wins for sure. The power and knockout power is there for Wells. The grappling is not bad at all either for Wells. Court has the grappling in his back pocket also. Court still comes in amazing shape at his age. The edge for Court is going to be the grappling because the takedown defense worries me for Wells. Give me Court here.
Pick-Court
Ricardo Ramos vs. Danny Chavez- Good fight. Chavez has been putting in the work and a super confident fighter in the cage today. The calf kick works well in his favor by far. Ramos is a heavy volume striker and has quick hands. We might even see a spinning kick from Ramos. This is going to be a banger in the striking field. The reach and length advantage are why I am leaning towards Ramos.
Pick- Ramos
Maria Oliveira vs. Gloria de Paula- Female fight! Oliveira is now taking on her third UFC fight going 1 and 1. Paula is coming off a win and is the heavy favorite here. The defense is my only worry for Paula but overall, a decent fighter. The grappling is there for Paula and has more power in her striking. Oliveira is all over the place on the feet and the defense also worries me. I am taking the more talented fighter in Paula.
Pick- Paula
Eddie Wineland vs. Cody Stamann- Fun fight for sure. Wineland is a major vet in the game and still putting in the work. Wineland is getting older though and the speed in his striking is slowing down. Stamann can wrestle and improving it by far. Stamann can land the knockout though also and love it. Give me Stamann here.
Pick- Stamann
Phil Hawes vs. Deron Winn- The fight was supposed to take place last year but here we are now after falling through. Hawes should be able to have a day against Winn. This weight class is not for Winn at all despite the wrestling. I am liking Hawes all around to handle business.
Pick- Hawes
Roman Dolidze vs. Kyle Daukaus- Great fight all around. The ladies' man haha for Roman! Both fighters are coming off a win. Daukaus has looked great and did well against Holland plus beating Pickett by sub. Daukaus is better on the feet despite the power from Roman. The second and third round worries me for Roman. I think Daukaus can handle this on the feet and on the mat.
Pick- Daukaus
