UFC Fight 205 DFS Breakdown

Dean Barry vs Mike Jackson- First fight, Jackson is very inexperienced in the UFC game. Barry is coming off three knockout victories facing low level talent. Both fighters are very under classed in the fighting game. Barry though should be able to easily win this fight based on decent training with his striking.

Marcin Prachnio vs Phillipe Lins- Light heavy weight time! Lins is making the weight down in this weight class from heavy weight. Lins has good striking and Prachnio has low striking defense, and has trouble taking punches. Lins can for sure piece up Prachnio despite coming off of two wins. Prachnio will try to push the pace in this fight. Lins has good hands and has the potential to knockout Prachnio.

Aoriqlieng vs Cameron Else- Bantam weight class! Else is coming off a year and half layoff coming off his UFC debut loss against Kyler Phillips. Else has not fought UFC level fighters other than Phillips. Aoriqlieng is coming off of two good losses in the UFC. He looked good in both fights overall. The recent form makes me like him more compared to Else. Aoriqlieng is better overall every where in his fighting style.

Tyson Pedro vs Ike Villanueva- The return of Pedro! He is coming off 3 years of not fighting. Pedro is a tough fighter and has a good fighting style, and still young in the UFC. The layoff is interesting to me though and will he be rusty? He is fighting Ike though which does not worry me a ton. Pedro should out style Ike for sure in the cage. The body style of Pedro and cardio is better than Ike for sure.

Dwight Grant vs Sergey Khandozhko- Interesting fight. Sergey is coming off a two year layoff. Sergey has a decent takedown defense and he is a heavy striker despite it not being the greatest. He has bad losses on his record also. Grant has the better reach and he takes advantage of it based on his fighting style. Grant has good power and pushes the pace in his fights. Grant can for sure land a nice hook against Sergey.

Jordan Wright vs Marc Andre Barriault- Catchweight fight! Marc is coming off a bad knockout loss. He is now coming back after two months and looking for a fight. Wright has huge knockout power and wants a finish quickly. The chin worries me for Andre by far. Marc is going to push the pace and it will be interesting to see how Wright works it. I do think Wright can piece him up and like his upside. Andre can for sure pull off the victory, but it worries me him coming back so fast.

Charles Jourdain vs Lando Vannata- Feather weight striking fight! I like Lando stuffing the takedowns and like his defense overall. Lando has been inconsistent in the UFC, but decent game overall. Jourdain is a polished striker with the leg kicks also. Jourdain is calm in the cage and has poised striking. I like the game overall compared to Lando. Jourdain should be able to get the better of Jourdain and just like his game much better.

Maycee Barber vs Montana Del La Rosa- Close fly weight fight! Barber is coming off a win against Miranda Maverick. Rosa is coming off a big wrestling win where she looked amazing. Rosa is a wrestler and the boxing is super slow which worries me. Barber has the better striking for sure. This going to be a fight on the ground. If this stays on the feet, Barber can win this fight on the feet blooding up Rosa. Super close fight but give me Barber.

Alexander Romanov vs Chase Sherman- Huge fight! Romanov should be able to have his way against Sherman. Romanov can easily throw around Sherman. Pick Romanov and move forward.

Clay Guida vs Claudio Puellas- CO-Main Event! Guida is the veteran in the game facing off a prospect in Puellas. Guida will have to win using his grappling skills in the game. Puellas has wrestling in his back pocket though and is underrated. Puellas can hurt Guida on the feet and has the potential to finish Guida. I am taking the young kid in Puellas to pull off a nice win working around the takedowns with his nice defense.

Amanda Lemos vs Jessica Andrade- Main Event! Andrade has fought amazing fighters all over her weight classes. The fact it is straw weight is interesting to me for Andrade. She has great tools with the striking and great grappling offense. The power she brings is amazing compared to Lemos. Andrade is a gatekeeper in the UFC. Lemos though has decent power with knockout potential. Give me Andrade to keep her reign.
