UFC Sacramento Anthony Hernandez VS Gregory Rodrigues

Interesting card on our hands! Off to Sacramento we go!

The fight breakdown is below. The fighter I have to win is bolded.

Marcio Barbosa vs Ryan Kruse- The Huge favorite is Barbosa in this fight. The power is certainly there for Barbosa. This fight should be quick for Barbosa to find the knockout. Kruse, I don't think, can avoid Barbosa in the cage. Kruse is not ready for the competition of Barbosa. Barbosa by knockout for the win.

Anthony Wint vs Terrance Chatman- Wint is coming off a fantastic win off of Dana White's Contender Series. This is an easy fight for Wint to win. Chatman has nothing to offer Wint, and the losses he has are awful. Wint, by any means he wants, will win this fight.

Gauge Young vs Stan Dorsainvil- On the Young side, he is coming off two UFC wins. The pace will be in favor of Young, and he likes to keep steady in his fights. Dorsainvil is making his UFC debut. Young should be able to control the fight over Dorsainvil. I am expecting a decision win for Young.

Shanelle Dyer vs Elise Reed- Dyer won her UFC debut and looked good overall. Reed on the feet is okay, but on the ground she is vulnerable. Dyer can find a win on the ground easily. Dyer is the heavy favorite for a reason. Reed continues to get finished in her fights. Dyer can find the finish here and find the knockout.

Jackson McVey vs Wes Schultz- What a gross fight. In the last fight, Schultz looked awful out there against Damian Pinas. McVey is good on the ground and in the grappling aspect. Schultz can't offer anything in the submission game of McVey.

Jamall Emmers vs Lerryan Douglas- Talking about Emmers, the level of competition is okay. The wins are not the greatest. Emmers has decent pop on the feet. Douglas, on the other hand, is fireworks on the feet. The chin is gone for Emmers, and I don't trust his fight IQ at all. I expect Douglas to find the knockout.

Carli Judice vs Jeisla Chaves- This fight is all in favor of Judice. Chaves didn't look great last fight. Chaves' level of competition is not comparable to Judice. This is another fight I don't know. Judice doesn't run over Chaves.

Nasrat Haqparast vs Chris Padilla- Taco time! Haqparast is coming off a knockout loss, but before that he was on a winning streak. Haqparast is nice on the feet but the chin is ready to be hit. The grappling isn't something to worry about involving Haqparast. Padilla should've won his last fight, compared to it being a draw. Padilla will increase the pace, and the speed on the feet is well there. Padilla can put the pressure on Haqparast. I expect Padilla to handle business here.

Shamil Gaziev vs Kennedy Nzechukwu- Interesting fight. Gaziev has been all over the place in terms of fighting. Gaziev is coming off knockout losses. Gaziev is an okay fighter, but there is nothing special about him. Nzechukwu's fight IQ is questionable and hard to trust in the cage. Gaziev can find the knockout if he avoids the knockout himself.

MarQuel Mederos vs Mason Jones- This one can be fun. Mason Jones fighting is a sight to see. Jones is beyond explosive on the feet, and this will be a fight. Jones will not slow down in the fight. I like Jones overall in this fight, on the feet and on the ground.

Serghei Spivac vs Vitor Petrino- A heavyweight fight on our hands. Spivac is not bad on the feet and can hang on the ground as well. Spivac is coming off a win. Petrino is coming off three wins. Petrino can be hit on the feet and overall is a good fighter. I can see this fight going back and forth. The question is, will Spivac use his ground game against Petrino? I hope he does, and that is how I expect him to win.

Reinier De Ridder vs Roman Dolidze- The Co-Main Event! New weight class for Dolidze and De Ridder. On the one hand, De Ridder needs a win. De Ridder is good on the ground but is vulnerable on the feet. Dolidze hasn't looked good recently, which is scary to me.

Anthony Hernandez vs Gregory Rodrigues- The Main Event! This could be a fun matchup. Hernandez is coming off a loss to Sean Strickland last fight. Hernandez didn't look great. On the other hand, Rodrigues on the feet is very powerful and coming off three wins in a row. Rodrigues is a tough out, and Hernandez will need to avoid the knockout if he has any chance of winning this fight, of course. The only way Hernandez wins this fight is if he can offer takedowns. That is the main question on if he will shoot for the takedowns. Rodrigues is my pick in the main event.
