UFC Vegas 35 DFS Breakdown

Edson Barboza VS Giga Chikadze- The Main-Event! Barboza has nasty hands and a killer instinct. He has looked great in the feather wind division. Giga has less experience than Edson but can bring it especially in the kickboxing aspect. I like Edson here to handle this fight and it will be a high volume fight.

Bryan Battle VS Gilbert Urbina- The CO-Main! Battle doesn’t have very many fights under his belt but the style Is excellent overall. Urbina is an grappler but I think Battle out strikes Urbina here.

Ricky Turcios VS Brady Hiestand- Ultimate fighter time! Turcio is an all around good fighter and the kicks included are there for him. Hiestand will want to throw him down to the mat as soon as possible. Turcios though has good takedown defense and I think that is his edge here, Give me Turcios here.

Kevin Lee VS Daniel Rodriguez- Oh man! Kevin Lee is here! Rodriguez has looked amazing and has a great chin. He is on the rise and a force that is getting taken seriously. Rodriguez will keep the strikes going every round while Lee is good yes, but he slows down every round. Rodriguez should win this fight and loving the underdog money line.

Andre Petroski VS Micheal Gillmore- Interesting fight. Gillmore is a guy who wants every shot he can get to fight in the UFC but didn’t look good at all. Petroski should be able to win this fight with ease taking Gillmore to the ground then enforcing the ground and pound.

Gerald Meerschaert VS Makhmud Muradov- Good fight good fight good fight. Gerald has a great chin and solid fighter overall who brings it every single fight. He is a grappler and scrappy on the ground. Muradov is no joke though and doesn’t get talked about enough who is an all around fight. Muradov is getting this fight in order to be pushed to the top of the game in UFC. I think Muradov wins this fight as much as I hate to say it.

Abdul Razak Alhassan VS Alessio Di Chirico- Huge knockout artist in Chirico who can hit the head off of anyone. He is an striker and the kicks are great, he has good loses overall. Abdul is on a losing streak and Chirico will need to push the pace especially with his lack of cardio. I want al of Chirico here who should win this fight with ease.

Sam Alvey VS Wellington Turman- Is it Sam Alvey week??? It might be! Alvey is an losing streak and it is a tough scene but he doesn’t give up at all. He has decent hands hands and not a bad chin, he can hang in there with Turman. Alvey is super slow though and needs to push the pace in this fight. Turman needs to win this fight and will want to work the leg kicks in order to get back into the game.

Dustin Jacoby VS Darren Stewart- What a step down in competition for Stewart but here we are in a good matchup for both guys. Stewart is an knockout puncher compared to Jacoby who is making his redemption story come true being back in the UFC. Jacoby is an all around striker while Stewart more so focuses on the kicks. Give me Jacoby here by decision.

JJ Aldrich VS Vanessa Demopoulos- Interesting fight. Demopoulos is an talented fighter that is coming back to the UFC and is no joke. Demopoulos is in for a tough tough fight In which she needs to watch herself before she gets caught. Her striking defense is scary in which JJ is an master at striking. JJ needs to push the pace and keep pounding on Demopoulous.

Pat Sabatini VS Jamall Emmers- Good fight. Pat Sab won his last fight and looked okay to me. He is an grappling type of fighter and not so much of an striker in which the cardio helps him in that aspect. Emmers is an talented fighter though that you should not overlook here, he has good loses compared to Pat Sab. Emmers need to keep Pat Sab in check in which if he does, the boxing of Emmers should handle Pat Sab. I am liking Emmers by decision here.

Mana Martinez VS Guido Cannetti- First fight of the night! Cannetti is surprising still fighting even though to me he doesn’t deserve this shot at all. Martinez is coming off of an couple good wins. He has great strikes and the counter punches helps him a ton. Martinez should come into this fight and handle business and be the main aggressor in this fight. I wouldn’t mind taking the knockout line in this fight also for Martinez.
