UFC Vegas 40 Breakdown

MAIN CARD

Norma Dumont VS Aspen Ladd- The Main-Event! Ladd is an fighter on the come up with great potential especially on the mat. The ground and pound works for Ladd which you like to see. Overall a great fighter. Norma has been up and down in which she has decent hands. I want all of Ladd here.

Andrei Arlovski VS Carlos Felipe- The CO- Main Event! Andrei the legend is back in the Co- Main against Felipe who is making a name for himself. Felipe is an striker and will hang with the best based on his chin. Arlovski is an accurate striker who will need to pin point his punches and keep Felipe from closing the distance. I think Felipe though can hang and think this step up is great for him.

Jim Miller VS Erick Gonzalez- Here we go, the Vet against the young buck! Gonzalez is an striker but it is sloppy who needs work, he is aggressive but worries me. I think Miller can take him to the mat and sub him where Gonzalez has bad takedown defense.

Manon Fiorot VS Mayra Bueno Silva- Here we go. Fiorot is an talented prospect in the game that has excellent striking. Love her upside and highly touted in the UFC. Silva has been so up and down to be honest. I like the step up for Fiorot and taking her here.

UNDER CARD

Andrew Sanchez VS Bruno Silva- Nice fight. Silva has power and decent grappling to be honest. Sanchez though has looked good based off of last fight and talented on the mat but striking has looked better. What a banger and close fight. Sanchez is the pick for me who I think has the edge on the mat here.

Danny Roberts VS Ramazan Emeev- Starting off, Emeev has great wins and he is an overall polished fighter who makes few mistakes. He has fought okay competition. He is going to want to grapple Roberts instead of leaving it on the feet. Roberts though has an great style of fighting and doesn’t give up too easily. I have to go with Emeev here.

Ľudovít Klein VS Nate Landwehr- Good fight. Landwehr has been win, loss, win, loss. He is an tough fighter and like his wrestling. Klein has looked great and like his style. He is quicker on the feet and volume is there. I like Klein here and think he can handle business.

Brandon Davis VS Danaa Batgerel- Oh man Davis is back in the UFC which was two years ago, he has looked good though outside of the UFC In the past four fights. He is super motivated here. Batgerel is coming off of two great wins and his striking is there for him. He is super fast and accurate on the feet in which Davis is going to have to grapple. Hard to go against Davis but I have to here and giving it to Batgerel.

Ariane Carnelossi VS Istela Nunes- First fight and here we go! Carnelossi started off her UFC debut on an okay stoppage by Hill. She has good ground and pound in the game in which she worked on her flaws. Nunes is coming off an layoff of 3 years…don’t like that. We don’t know what to expect and she didn’t look good to begin with. I am all over Ariane here.
