UFC Vegas 48 Breakdown

Johnny Walker VS Jamahal Hill- The main event! Great fight by far. Hill is coming off a huge win that he looked amazing in. Walker can get hit easily and that is what worries me here where he is hard to trust in this fight because Hill can hit him with one pop. I do like Hill here overall who is the cleaner fighter and can hit Walker with ease.

Kyle Daukaus VS Jamie Pickett- Marquez- Change in opponents in Julian to Pickett! The co-main event! Daukaus was on his way to win last fight against Holland. Daukaus is a great boxer on his feet and has looked great by far. Pickett typically fades in his fights. Pickett just has not looked good at all. Daukaus wants this win so bad and can see him handle this fight with ease. I can even see Kyle win via sub.

Jim Miller VS Nikolas Motta- The vet in Miller baby! This is his 39th fight and that is crazy to me. He is a well rounded fight and now fighting Motta who is on the come up as a prospect. Motta is putting in the work and think he is ready for this fight though. Motta, I think can handle this fight against the vet. Miller despite everything does have good finish ability but the cardio is worrisome.

Joaquin Buckley VS Abdul Razak Alhassan- HUGE FIGHT!!! I am loving this fight like wow. Two heavy heavy heavy striking matchups. Buckley has massive boxing style and he can go out aggresive. Abdul had a good win last fight and has the knockout power, it was good to see him in the win column. Early, I think Buckley can use his style to win this fight but don't forget Abdul to knock him out quick. The first round will tell us all but think Buckley can win this.

Pick- Buckley but don't mind Abdul as a underdog

Parker Porter VS Alan Baudot- Big men fight! Porter has looked good past two fights and has solid boxing skills with the striking. Baudot is coming out of France and has good heavy striking but still needs little bit of polishing. Porter should be able to handle this fight though and think he is ready for this fight to extend his win streak. Porter can get a finish here with is strikes and mix in tackdowns in the grappling aspect.

Jesse Strader VS Chad Anheliger- Nice fight! Chad looked fantastic coming off a great win in DWCS where he went balls to the walls. Strader is an overall decent fighter but mentally the confidence is my issue with him. He looks in shape though, but the striking doesn't look good at all. This is a straight forward fight for Chad to win with ease.

Chas Skelly VS Mark Striegl- Massive favorite fight coming in on Skelly but here we go. Striegl had a tough first fight which I understand how he lost it, but Striegl has awful striking defense and doesn't have the striking to help him. Skelly has volume and will push the pace extremely well. Skelly should handle this fight with ease and don't see him losing this matchup.

Pick- Skelly could see Striegl pull off a upset

Diana Belbiţă VS Gloria de Paula- Female fight and here we go! Belbita looked good and aggressive with her striking, but the wrestling defense was not great. Paula is coming off of two loses but she has the wrestling to expose Belbita which scares me. This fight can flip or flop for both fighters. I can see Paula pulling this fight off though which she needs the win badly after two loses. I do think though overall Belbita can be aggressive enough to win this.

Jessica-Rose Clark VS Stephanie Egger- Female fight! Rose Clark is coming off two wins and has looked good but other than those two fights, she hasn't been super active in the scene. Rose Clark will want to out strengthen Egger and push her to the limit. Egger is a striker and has good length which she looked good last fight, but the competition isn't there. Rose Clark will exploit the wrestling defense out of Egger. I really do like Rose Clark here.

Gabriel Benítez VS David Onama- Here we go. Onama is coming from the Krause camp which I always like. He lost to Mason Jones, but Onama did look good not going to lie with the overall game. Benitez is a power striker especially with the legs. Benitez needs this win badly coming into this fight, but the size worries me. Onama I like overall more in this fight and will give Benitez a fight.

Jonathan Pearce VS Christian Rodriguez- First fight! Rodriguez is a top prospect and has looked fighting twice on DWCS with wins. Pearce though has looked great coming off of two wins in the UFC. I do like Rodriguez based on the striking and that his top plan where Pearce will want to wrestle this fight. I love the boxing and kicks out of Rodriguez to get out of the grappling. This is going to be a really good clash fight. I slightly like Rodrguez but don't doubt Pearce here. Pearce can for sure go for the takedown and has upside.
