UFC Vegas 56 Fight Breakdown

Alexander Volkov vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik- The Main Event! Both fighters are coming off a loss so here we go. Volkov will have the reach and massive height advantage. Volkov will be able to avoid the knockout punches and the volume is super low from Rozenstruik. Volkov should win this with no issues.

Movsar Evloev vs Dan Ige- The CO-Main! Evloev is going to shoot for the takedowns and be able to because we saw how the Korean Zombie took it. I like Evloev here to successfully be able to. Iga is good on the striking front, but I don't see being enough.

Mike Trizano vs Lucas Almeida- Going to be a banger for sure. Trizano is the favorite here by a big amount. Trizano is in super close fights and Almeida can bring the heat here. Trizano will just have to look out early, but I like him overall here.

Karine Silva vs Poliana Botelho- Newcomer fight! Silva is a finisher in her fights and gets the finish in every fight. She is dangerous on the mat. Poliana is a striker and that is where she wants to win. Silva can go for the takedown and shoot for the win.

Alonzo Menifield vs Askar Mozharov- Good fight. This fight can stay inside the distance and will be a battle. Askar is going for blood and will start swinging. Askar has been battle proven and going for a knockout. Menifield is a step up in competition. Menifield can go for the knockout also and like the upside he can bring. The path to the victory is there for him.

Felice Herrig vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz- Onto the main card! Both these fighters are on an ultimate losing streak. Karolina hasn't won since 2018. This fight is all over the place and super hard to even predict. Karolina should be able to stuff the takedowns while Herrig is on a layoff.

Joe Solecki vs Alex da Silva- Decent fight. Solecki is the massive favorite in this fight. Silva has not fought in over a year which worries me. Silva can win this fight though if he has been preparing for this. The cardio is awful for Silva though and he can get caught in a sub from Solecki. This fight can go either way to be honest. I see this as a pick'em.

Damon Jackson vs Daniel Argueta- This fight is going to be greatness. Argueta is making his short notice debut here. Argueta has upside and not that bad of a fighter. Jackson is a huge step up in competition. Jackson is the better striker here and has the grappling advantage. I don't see Argueta being able to hang.

Ode Osbourne vs Zarrukh Adashev- Interesting fight. Ode is the favorite here with the height plus reach advantage. Ode has a good game on the ground and love the submission route for his victory here. Ode is going quick for the takedown and that is what you will want to see.

Benoit Saint-Denis vs Niklas Stolze- Good fight overall. Benoit was not in the best fight last time he fought. Benoit has decent grappler and not very experienced in the cage. Benoit is not a striker and should not be the favorite. Stolze should out strike Benoit for sure.

Tony Gravely vs Johnny Munoz Jr.- Interesting fight. Gravely is a wrestler who will shoot all day for the takedowns. Munoz though is no pushover in the grappler field. This will be centered around the ground. Gravely has been submitted a ton which scares me. I like Munoz her to take over and be able to take Gravely down.

Jeff Molina vs Zhalgas Zhumagulov- This fight will be a banger. Molina is a striker and will land a ton of strikes based on his volume. Zhalgas has been finished and just all over the place which worries me. Molina should have a field day on the feet against Zhalgas.

Rinat Fakhretdinov vs Andreas Michailidis- Debut fighters! Rinat is an older fighter and the favorite here. Rinat has the cardio to hang and decent striking with knockout wins, he can go to the mat for sure. Overall, Rinat is a good fighter. Andreas is a BJJ fighter, but the cardio is awful. Rinat will be able to make Andreas tired in the cage with ease and get a win.

Erin Blanchfield vs JJ Aldrich- Kicking off the card with a female fight! Step up in competition for Blanchfield here but she is the massive favorite. Blanchfield has looked great and looked amazing against Maverick. Aldrich won't be able to hang with her when Blanchfield takes this fight to the mat.
